Wesley Cell Groups
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts: 17:11
Cell group Bible study has been an important characteristic of the Methodist Church since its beginning. We cannot live as if we are alone on an island and be a Christian, since faith is always shared. One aspect of our faith formation is participating in spiritual accountability groups. John Wesley believed that there is ‘no personal holiness without social holiness.’
The cell groups are designed to be respectful of one’s time and one’s opinion. They are scheduled to start at a certain time and to end at a certain time. If the group doesn’t make it all the way through the study for that evening, it’s okay! Importantly, what is said in cell group stays in cell group. The cell group can be a time of deep discussion and this allows you to be comfortable in sharing some of your innermost thoughts. The group becomes close-knit, and would help lift other members up in times of need.
Cell Groups are currently done with Zoom Connect under different leaders in different days from 7 pm to 8.30 pm. Their names, days and mobile numbers are given below:
