A High-Calibre Compilation of Talents

SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY 2023

The greatest joy for a family lies in witnessing their children worship God with their talents.  These cherished experiences become indelible memories, etching themselves into the very fabric of the heart and securing a place of honour in the family album. November 19, 2023, unfolded as one of those extraordinary days. The 9 a.m. service at Annanagar Methodist Church held profound significance for both parents and congregation members alike.

In the span of just one hour, attendees were treated to a display of pure bliss—a harmonious symphony of songs, engaging skits, meticulously choreographed dances, and the recitation of memory verses by the tiny tots. The entire presentation exuded a level of professionalism and calibre that left an indelible mark on the hearts of those in attendance.

If you were to inquire within the community about what sets Annanagar Methodist Church apart, the unanimous response would undoubtedly be its Sunday school. It’s not uncommon to witness parents from other congregations entrusting their children to the care of AMC on a Sunday morning, only to take them back once the regular church service concludes.

Mr. Andrew George, the superintendent of the Sunday school, and his dedicated team deserve commendation for their exemplary efforts over the past six months. The overarching theme for the year “Wise Up” provided a guiding principle for their endeavours.

Furthermore, during the service, Mr. Charles from Vellore, the guest speaker, eloquently elucidated three pivotal points—”Wise Up, Rise Up, and Spice Up”—as essential pillars for leading a purposeful Christian life, drawing inspiration from Ephesians 5:15–17. The verses emphasize the importance of living wisely, seizing every opportunity, and understanding the Lord’s will in a world fraught with challenges.
