Aims and Objectives
THE ANNANAGAR METHODIST CHURCH is the BODY OF CHRIST in and for the world as part of the Church Universal. Its PURPOSE is to understand the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, to bear witness to this love to all people, and to make them His disciples.
Under the DISCIPLINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, the Church EXISTS for the proclamation of the love of God, the maintenance of worship, the edification of believers, and the redemption of the world. In furtherance of this aim, it is ENGAGED in evangelical, educational, medical, social, literary, agricultural, socio-economic, vocational, technical, industrial, and other activities that are in harmony with the policies, doctrines, and Articles of Religion of the Methodist Church in India.
About Us
Annanagar Methodist Church is a congregation under the Madras Regional Conference under the Methodist Church of India. Established as a small family church of 50 members in 1986, the church grew in number with about 400 active members and their families worshipping the Almighty Trinitarian God, the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
AMC is actively engaged in spiritual nurture and proclaiming the Gospel through various ministries. This website provides more details on our activities and engagement in outreach activities.
